CLASSY (again at a price)

Was really a fan of the copper emblems , but Chrome Black makes for an understated look and draws more than a second look from those that know = OCD = Other Cupra Drivers. Look good on any colour car but red and especially black marry up best as a contrast or stealthy look.

Getting the badge of initially was a real PITA , as i was trying to be very careful and not damage the old emblem , so was using my fingers to try and move the tabs holding it to the grille for 2 hours , all i got was sore fingers for 3 days . Then thought I'd have to remove the whole grille after watching someone have to do it for a Cupra Leon. Downloaded workshop and repair manuals to see how it could be done, only to find that a wide, thin flat bladed screwdriver or filler blade would have worked in 5 mins. You WILL break the tabs on the emblem removing it , unless you are extremely lucky as it's not something that needs removing unless you actually need to take off the bumper and grille , in which case you could easily access the back of the grille. I broke 4 of 8 tabs on the old emblem but it could still be replaced using a few dabs of silicone to augment the remaining tabs. I looked at wrapping or plasti dip due to the price for front and back emblems but neither are particularly resistant to a jetwash long term as i think i'll be keeping the car a good while unless the next versions revert to the same front end as i don't like the shark face of the late 24 versions.
