Good kit but packaging not up to job!

Kit was easy to fit once I had located the instructions. But the cardboard box had broken open at all corners and the metal screws must have fallen out as result. Managed to get it fitted without them.

Impossible to fit without the (not included) Torx T40 tool (which most folks won’t have).

The false floor kit is great, a quality, easy to fit piece of kit enabling not only a spare wheel but also a much needed dog crate (flush with the bumper so the door can open) - if only the instructions were included.

I phoned Caffyns technical support and they immediately emailed me a PDF of the instructions, which was needed to fit the kit. Not easy working from a screen, but workable.

However, the biggest issue was the lack of the tool needed to screw the 6 large flat plastic screws in place and the 2 smaller metal screws.

It’s misleading on the website as it lists whats included in the kit, as it says:

Kit Contains

· Steel Wheel & Tyre (6.0Jx16 ET 50 with tyre size 195/60 R16 Budget Tyre)

· False Floor Kit With Stowage Sections

· Jack & Wheel Brace

· Wheel Hold Down Bolt

Torx T40 Required to fit fixing screws”.

To my understanding that means the tool is included as it’s required to fit the fixing screws. But what it actually means is NOT INCLUDED.

This could be made clearer by stating NOT INCLUDED but very much required.

It’s not a tool I have in the sizes required (2 different sizes of tool are required), so really struggled to fit the screws, took much longer as a result and a lot more stress that expected too.

Please just include the tool that’s required and charge an extra fiver for the kit - I’d have been more than happy to pay for the tool, rather than struggle for an hour.

Received time and day as arranged. On the following day it was installed by my 11 year old grandson with only minimal help (or interference) rom his apprentice (me). I would have given it 5 stars but one small part (a plastic bolt) was missing, which resulted in us having to find a way around it. Otherwise, it is excellent.
